I’ve been on a bit of a podcast hiatus (though that’s ending soon, promise!), but I recently hopped on my good friend Jack Gardner’s Best Game Period podcast. The show spotlights a specific game and dissects it to determine if it can be considered one of the, well, best games period. I previously appeared to make my case for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Mortal Kombat 9, and Frog Fractions. This time I’m professing my love for one of my favorite game of this generation, the beautiful and challenging Cuphead.
Follow the link below to hear Jack and myself dive into Cuphead’s premise, the controversial baggage of its art direction, and the invention of the term “funtration” You can also check out the YouTube version.
